Eat To Support Recovery

Support your immune system and aid recovery with healthy food choices.

Healthy Food Choices Will Aid Recovery

It is possible to maintain a healthy weight when bed or house bound.

I know this because I've done it. I also know that in order for your body to heal itself from any chronic illness, it needs good nutrition from a balanced diet.
I do not believe in fad diets. I believe in a healthy and nutritious way of eating that will support your body and mind.

With me you will learn which foods to eat and when is the best time to eat them. I will teach you about the different food groups, calorie content, the importance of polyunsaturated fat and the evils of sugar. (Yes sugar is evil, and, I don't say this lightly, a poison.) Far too many of us (and I can include myself in this) are addicted to sugar. Our bodies did not evolve to take in the quantities of the stuff that we do on a daily basis. It is causing chronic conditions and mental health issues. I could go on about this for ages but here is not the place!

If you adopt my way of eating, you will have more energy and it will be more consistent, not highs and lows, you will find that your mood is more stable, you skin will improve, you might find that you have fewer headaches, you will sleep better and you won't get that crushing hunger that high sugar diets produce.

What I will do is give you the knowledge and tools so that you can make informed choices and give your body the best chance of healing.
